But Guardiola, who is also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, admits he may have to make do with what he already has because the demands are too great for City to meet."At the prices (quoted) we are not going to buy any strikers. It is impossible, we cannot afford it," Guardiola told Catalan network TV3.

Tottenham's new managing director of football Fabio Paratici wants to keep Harry Kane at the club, but says he has not spoken to the forward about his future while he represents England at the Euros.Kane has three years remaining on his Spurs deal and despite his status as one of the Premier League's most prolific strikers, topping the scoring charts with 23 goals in the top flight last term, is yet to win a major trophy in his career.Juventus' former transfer chief Paratici has described Kane as "one of the best strikers in the world" and wants the forward to remain at Tottenham beyond the summer transfer window.Paratici told Sky in Italy: "Keeping him is not just my goal, it's our goal as a club.

"I can't wait to watch him play live, I've been really lucky in the past years because I've watched a lot of top players and strikers, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain, and many more which now I forgot about."Right now, he's one of the best strikers in the world. He's a complete player, really special. His physique is that of a real number nine, a true poacher, but he also has an incredibly refined technique."He is able to shoot with both feet and also provides many assists - very few people notice this, because he scores so many goals."He's a team player, but he's a finisher at the same time, so really I believe he is among the top three in the world."I haven't heard from him yet because I don't want to bother the players who are busy at the Euros, it doesn't seem fair to me. They're focused on their own goals with their national teams."

Since CR7 left Madrid and the individual rivalry took a slower pace I started to realise that how lucky we have been to witness these two greats. For me, none of them are the best ever. I know it is unfair to compare different generations of styles, still I feel now a days these players have too much protection. I have seen R9 running like a cheetah's pace and agility, while defenders like Nesta, Maldini, Puyol and others attempting leg breaking challenges! There was enigmatic Diego(rip) and record breaking "Samba on Green" Pele! The question of who is the all time best is a wrong one, it should be a level. Who are in the Top level? Pele, Diego, Ronaldo R9, Ronaldo CR7 and Leo Messi! I remember Messi being at 19, the hype, magic, charisma and arrogance, man I hated it. I hated him doing those he did in a Barca shirt, in a Argie shirt! When Messi and CR7 were in their early 20s they won everything and they were 50+ goals a season. Halaand and KMB are going to be superstars, maybe in the same level as Zidane or Lewandowsky or Henry or Romario, not Messi or CR7.Top CommentTop Comment3Paul Merson's England XI: No Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling startsRobert DavisGlad merse is not the England manager, this team is awfulTop CommentTop Comment2England Euro 2020 squad: Pick your XI for opening game against CroatiaDean GuileNot often come up to a major international tournament like the Euros and have a player I believe has to be the first name on the team sheet every time all the time, that is Jack Grealish, got to be as far back as the Beckham days I last said this. But let's not forget one of the unsung heroes who cost next to nothing and NEVER let Utd down. I would like to give recognition to the brilliant DENNIS IRWIN what a player, cost peanuts 650k, 296 appearances, 12 years a first team regular, pens, free kicks, brilliant crosser of the ball and great defender, 7 premier league titles, 2 FA cups, 1 League cup, Champions League and UEFA cup winner and could play either full back position. Still first choice even into his 30s ahead of Messrs Neville. 22 goals. Has to be considered, but not glamorous enough I guess.Top CommentTop Comment5Pick your Premier League Team of the Year: Who makes your XI from the 2020/21 season?cory gullandI decided to make things more interesting by only allowing myself to choose one player from each team. 4-2-3-1 GK: Pope. This is an easy choice as all the other contenders play for teams with many other options for this list LB: Shaw. He's been the best left back in the world this year, leaving out Fernandes was hard but Shaw is a must pick CB: Dias. again, no real choice here, he's been the best defender in the league and possibly the world this year CB: Evens. I've liked Evens for years, and he's been especially good this season, it's a shame he most likely won't get to play the FA cup final RB: Cresswell. An underrated player who never seems to have a bad game, this means no rice or Soucek, but needs must CDM: Ward-Prowse, the only member of the Southampton team who always plays well, probably the most filler'y pick on this team CDM: Bissouma. If I had been able to pick lewis Dunk I would have Ndidi hare and Dunk at CB, but Bissouma has been a rock so it makes little difference RW Salah. Do I need to explain this? CAM: Mount. No Bruno made this choice very difficult, but mount has been exceptional this season, he reminds me a lot of Steven Gerrard, future Chelsea captain for sure LW: Gealish. Villa have looked a shadow of themselves since he got injured, he's a game changer ST: Kane.
